About Kling V2.6
Kling V2.6 (kling-v2.6) is a Kling video model with standard and pro tiers and optional generated audio. It is offered in Global and CN regions and is submitted through POST /v1/generations.
Pick it for fixed 5- or 10-second clips at 720P or 1080P. For 4K or more flexible durations, look at Kling V3.
Key features
Standard and pro tiers
mode accepts std (720P, default) and pro (1080P). The mode decides the resolution, so do not also send resolution.
5 or 10 seconds
duration accepts 5 or 10 seconds, with a default of 5.
Optional generated audio
Set audio to true to generate a soundtrack with the video; it is off by default.
Reference images
Pass reference_images to keep a product, character or scene consistent with your source material.
Landscape, portrait and square
aspect_ratio accepts 16:9 (default), 9:16 and 1:1.

Get started in four steps
- Create an API key in the console.
- Pick the model and review its parameters in the API tab.
- Fill in the parameters and check the cost with the quote endpoint.
- Submit the request, then poll the task or receive a webhook for the result.
Writing prompts
[Subject] + [Action] + [Setting] + [Camera movement] + [Lighting and style]- Describe one shot at a time: subject, action, setting, camera movement and lighting.
- Name the camera move explicitly, such as slow dolly-in, orbit or static wide shot.
- Keep the action achievable within 5 or 10 seconds; split longer sequences into several clips.

How do I get 1080P?⌄
Set mode to pro. Resolution comes from mode, so do not add a separate resolution field.
Which durations are supported?⌄
5 and 10 seconds, with 5 as the default.
How is it billed?⌄
The Price tab lists every tier; mode and audio can both affect the quote. Call POST /v1/quote first and send exactly the same parameters when creating the task. API calls only spend purchased permanent credit packs and admin-adjusted credits.
Is the request synchronous?⌄
No. Creating a task returns a task_id; poll GET /v1/tasks/{task_id} or receive a webhook when it finishes.
